The only son of CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has passed away.
Prakash, who had passed out at the Dahal residence in Lazimpat, was declared dead on arrival by the doctors at Norvic International Hospital where he was admitted at 5:30 Sunday morning. "His death has not been formally announced in wait of his dad," press coordinator at Norvic RP Mainali said. "Doctors have not told me how he died or what he died of," Mainali added.
A Maoist leader confirmed the death of Prakash with Setopati. "He died in the morning. We are waiting for chairman comrade," the leader said.
Pushpa Kamal Dahal has left for Kathmandu from Jhapa, where he was campaigning, with five family members including daughter and son-in-law. Another daughter Renu Dahal, mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, is arriving from Chitwan.
Prakash's second wife Srijana, who lives in Pokhara, has already reached Norvic along with her son. His third wife Beena Magar has left for Kathmandu from Kanchanpur. She is contesting the federal parliamentary election from Kanchanpur-1.
The only son of Pushpa Kamal Dahal had been working in his father's secretariat. He is survived by his two wives and two sons.
