Navaraj Simkhada, chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Kathmandu District Committee, along with other leaders, has resigned from the party.
They collectively announced their departure on Friday, citing that the party has been drifting away from its policies, principles, and ideology.
"I offer my heartfelt respect to all the senior leaders who provided support and cooperation during my long tenure in the RPP, and I express my sincere gratitude for the trust placed in me by all my colleagues in Kathmandu district," Simkhada said.
He also mentioned that they will remain independent for now.
