Rajendra Lingden far behind RSP's Prakash Pathak in Jhapa-3

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden is trailing in the initial vote count in Jhapa-3.

Lingden has secured 3,070 votes so far. Meanwhile, Prakash Pathak of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has received more than double the votes of Lingden securing 6,082 votes.

Among other candidates, Dipak Timsina of the Shram Sanskriti Party has received 1,582 votes, while Hari Bahadur Rajbanshi of CPN-UML has got 1,382 votes. Rajendra Kumar Ghimire of Nepali Congress has secured 1,207 votes, and Dilli Ram Ghimire of Nepali Communist Party has received 188 votes.

Lingden had won from Jhapa-3 with the support of UML in 2022. In return, RPP had also supported UML candidates in various districts of the Koshi Province.
