CPN-UML leader Jitendra Narayan Dev has quit the party ahead of the general election.
Issuing a statement today, he mentioned his departure expressing significant dissatisfaction directed at UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli. Dev accused the leadership of steering the party toward individualism and deification.
Furthermore, he alleged that the party is being operated in an arbitrary and discriminatory manner. He stated that he decided to leave because he could no longer agree with the UML's ideology, policies, and practices.
Dev also expressed frustration over the tendency to label the Gen-Z movement as foreign conspiracy.
Dev had joined the UML two years ago after leaving the Nepali Congress (NC). He had become federal minister from NC.
