Outgoing lawmakers from the Janamat Party and the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) have also signed in favor of restoring the House of Representatives.
They added their signatures to a supplementary petition to be submitted to the Supreme Court, seeking to be recognized as parties to the case.
The new signatories include Hasina Khan from the JSP, Goma Labh Sapkota from the Janamat Party, and independent lawmaker Yogendra Mandal.
According to Shyam Ghimire, the chief whip of the Nepali Congress in the dissolved House, 65 Congress lawmakers have signed the petition so far.
"As we have collected 65 signatures, we will now have signatures of a majority of lawmakers in the court," Ghimire said. "We will now send the signatures to the court through legal professionals."
The CPN-UML has already submitted the signatures of 75 lawmakers. With the combined signatures of the NC and UML, a clear majority of lawmakers now stand in favor of restoring the House of Representatives. In the 275-member House, 138 lawmakers constitute a majority.
The NC and UML have 140 signatures combined. With the addition of the three other lawmakers, a total of 143 signatures will be presented to the Supreme Court in favor of House restoration.
