Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava paid a farewell call on Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal on Wednesday.
During the farewell meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singha Durbar, Foreign Minister Khanal congratulated Ambassador Srivastava on the successful completion of his tenure.
Foreign Minister Khanal praised the role played by Ambassador Srivastava in further deepening Nepal-India relations and making them more multidimensional.
He also discussed significant progress in energy cooperation, trade, infrastructure and connectivity between the two countries, as well as people-to-people relations.
Minister Khanal also expressed gratitude for India’s solidarity with Nepal following the devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River and for India’s prompt assistance in post-disaster search, rescue, and relief efforts.
The foreign minister extended best wishes to Ambassador Srivastava for his future tenure and endeavors and expressed confidence that he would continue to remain a good friend of Nepal in the days ahead.
During the meeting, Ambassador Srivastava expressed appreciation for the support and cooperation he received from the Government of Nepal during his tenure. He expressed confidence that Nepal-India relations would grow even stronger and more prosperous in the future.
