CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the standing committee meeting has united the party.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting concluded on Monday, Dahal said that the challenge of uniting the party had emerged recently, but the standing committee meeting successfully addressed that challenge and united the party.
"The challenge before us was to unite our party, which played the most significant and leading role in the country's democratic movement and the strengthening of the republic. We have responsibly met that challenge, and the party is now united," he said.
Dahla also noted that a collective commitment was expressed to maintaining party unity.
"We have resolved to end all forms of factionalism and groupism with even stronger unity from now on. We have made a collective commitment," he added.
Dahal further said that the meeting decided to once again go to the people and launch a movement to end the malpractices in the country.
