The group led by Durga Prasai has announced that it will not take part in the demonstration organized by the “Joint People's Movement Committee” led by Nawaraj Subedi at Ratna Park on Thursday afternoon.
Issuing a statement on Wednesday, the “Save Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture, and Citizens Mega Campaign Nepal,” led by Prasai, said that it will not join Thursday’s demonstration.
Premdeep Limbu, secretary of the campaign, released the statement confirming that they will not participate in the protest led by the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).
The Subedi-led committee had designated Prasai as the “People's Commander” on March 27. Prasai was arrested by police after the protest in Tinkune of Kathmandu turned violent on March 28. He is currently in custody.
