Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli cautioned the stakeholders that impunity could rise with the leakage of sensitive information through an inappropriate way.
Addressing a program organized to mark the National Information Day-2075 organized by the National Information Commission (NIC) in the Capital Sunday, Prime Minister Oli vowed to stop such leakages adding that it could pose a threat to national secrecy.
On another note, PM Oli shared that the errors seen in the Constitution could be corrected for the cause of national development, empowerment of the people and country's progressive development.
Also speaking at the same program, Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Banskota opined for thinking about the issues of right to correct information dissemination along with the right to information (RTI).
He said various rights of the citizens were incorporated in the constitution as the fundamental rights adding that all should be conscious about the rights to secrecy, social harmony and dignity also respecting the RTI.
During the event, NIC Chief Commissioner Krishna Hari Banskota shared that students and examinees of the Public Service Commission were enjoying the rights of seeing their answer sheets if they so demand, thanks to the NIC's efforts.
NIC Commissioners Kiran Kumar Pokharel and Yashoda Timilsina said that the government bodies should be transparent and accountable toward ensuring the RTI.
