NC stages demonstrations across country (PHOTOS)

The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) on Tuesday staged street demonstrations across the country including in the capital. A rally that kicked off from Shanti Batika to protest against government marched through Ason, Indrachowk, New Road gate and turned into a corner meeting at Shanti Batika. The party leaders addressed the assembly at Shanti Batika as per its preparations to stage demonstrations against the government’s decision of declaring prohibited zones violating the constitutional rights of peaceful demonstrations. The party’s sister organizations including Nepal Tarun Dal, Nepal Students Union, Nepal Dalit Association, Nepal Women Association and Nepal Muslim Association, among others, also took part in the demonstrations.
