The unified communist party to be formed after the merger of CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) will have two senior leaders.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal will be the co-chairmen of the unified party.
UML leader Yogesh Bhattarai informed that decision has been taken to make former prime ministers-- Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal-- as the senior leaders of the new party.
Similarly, the standing committee of the new party will comprise 45 members including 26 from UML and 19 from Maoist Center. Earlier, on Wednesday, the decision was made to pick 43 members including 25 from UML and 18 from Maoist Center for the standing committee. However, one member has been added from each party after a member of UML standing committee could not be included among the 43.
