Modi receives guard of honor at Tundikhel

Visiting Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi has been given guard of honor at Tundikhel Friday afternoon. A contingent of Nepal Army offered him the guard of honor. He is the second foreign PM to receive guard of honor at Tundikhel. Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who arrived here in Kathmandu on March 5, became the first guest to receive guard of honor there. Visiting dignitaries were earlier given guard of honor at TIA but the KP Oli-led government started the practice of offering guard of honor to guests at Tundikhel. Ministers and Foreign Ministry officials were present on the occasion.
