The government on Sunday will sit for dialogue with the transport entrepreneurs who are protesting the decision to end transport cartels.
Vice Chairman of the Federation of Nepal National Transport Entrepreneurs Jit Bahadur Bharati said the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has summoned the entrepreneurs to the Singha Durbar for dialogue Sunday. The time for the meeting has yet to be fixed though.
Bharati is the only office-bearer of the federation who is not in police custody now. Some office-bearers were arrested on Friday and others on Saturday on charge of stopping essential services after the federation called a nation-wide strike on Friday.
The dialogue was set to happen on Friday itself but did not materialize due to arrest of many office-bearers on the day. The police then arrested federation Chairman Yogendra Nath Karmacharya and other office-bearers raiding a federation meeting on Saturday.
