Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi will be offered civic felicitation even in Kathmandu and not just Janakpur as has already been announced.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issuing a press statement on Friday has stated that Modi will arrive on May 11 for two-day visit, and will be offered civic felicitation in Kathmandu and Janakpur.
Modi will be given guard of honor at Tundikhel, Kathmandu on May 11, and he will meet PM KP Sharma Oli in the evening same day. Modi is also scheduled to visit the Muktinath Temple in Mustang, according to the press statement.
Oli and Modi jointly will also start construction of Arun III Hydropower Project in Sankhuwasabha through a remote control from Kathmandu.
Modi will land on Janakpur from Patna, Bihar on a helicopter on May 11 and pray at the Janaki Temple. He will then be offered civic felicitation at Bahrabigaha, Janakpur.
The Province 2 government has already announced public holiday on the day Modi arrives.
