Decision to allow only seven places for protest riles Bibeksheel Sajha

The Bibeksheel Sajha Party has said its attention has been drawn to the decision of the District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu to keep only seven places open for holding mass meeting and any program of protest. The party has, through a press statement Friday, taken and termed such decision as a means of weakening the effectiveness of peaceful public demonstration. The party expressed its concern over the DAO decision to ban the Maitighar Mandala for holding any program of protest, demanding the withdrawal of the decision. Such decision has disappointed those people who believe in gravity and strength of peaceful and decent protests to keep and make the government responsible, citing that it was against right to freedom guaranteed by the constitution, the party said.
