First provincial assembly meeting in four provinces today

Four provinces in the country will have their first provincial assembly meeting on Sunday. The first provincial assembly meeting in Province 2 will be held in Janakpur, Province 5 in Butwal, Province 6 in Surkhet and Provicne 7 in Dhangadi. The first meeting will pass the interim working procedure for operation of the provincial assembly and fix the date for electing the speaker in the four provinces. The provincial assembly will be chaired by the oldest assembly member in the assembly concerned until the speaker is elected. The first provincial assembly meeting of Province 3 was convened in Hetauda on February 1. The first meetings in Province 1 and 4 have been called for Monday in Biratnagar and Pokhara respectively.
