Eight persons including six women look set to be elected National Assembly (NA) member unopposed from provinces 2 and 5 as 82 candidates filed nominations in seven provinces on Wednesday. Three women candidates, one dalit and one person with disability look set to be elected unopposed from Province 2 as just five candidates filed nominations for the five seats, according to the Election Commission (EC). Three women candidates likewise look set to be elected unopposed even from Province 5 as just three candidates filed nominations for the three seats for women from the province. A total of 12 candidates filed nominations in Province 1, nine in Province 2, 16 in Province 3, 12 in Province 4, 11 in Province 5, 12 in Province 6 and 10 in Province 7, according to the EC. A total of 56 persons will be elected for National Assembly from the seven provinces with eight elected from each province.
