CPN (Maoist Center) has finalized the name of 13 candidates for National Assembly election.
A meeting of top leaders of the party held at the Khumaltar-based residence of party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Tuesday has made senior leaders Ram Bahadur Thapa and Dinanath Sharma as the candidates.
According to Dahal’s Secretariat, the party has made Bina Pokharel (woman) and Shahikala Dahal (woman) as the candidate from province no 1 and 2 respectively. There is still to select a candidate from province no 2.
Similarly, Ram Bahadur Thapa (open) and Ganga Parajuli (woman) are the candidates from province no 3 for NA election while Dinanath Sharma (open) and Khim Bahadur BK (Dalit) from province no 4.
Likewise, the meeting has decided to make Raj Kumar Kunwar (marginalized and disabled) and Chandra Bahadur Khadka (open) as the candidate from province no 5 as well as Jeevan Budha (disabled and marginalized) and yutal Lama (woman) and Kali Bahadur Malla (open) from province no 6.
Laliram Lohar (Dalit) and Hariram Chaudhary (open) are the candidates from province no 7 for the election.
The CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) have decided to make 29 candidates from CPN-UML and 14 from CPN (Maoist Center). A meeting of top leaders including provincial in-charge held on Monday had given responsibility to party Dahal, leaders—Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Ram Bahadur Thapa to select the candidates for the NA election.
