Mahasamiti meeting will be called only after review of NC's loss: Deuba

Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said he will call Mahasamiti meeting of the party after serious review about the reason for recent electoral defeat. Speaking at the central committee meeting that started at the prime minister's (PM) official residence in Baluwatar Thursday morning, Deuba argued that the electoral defeat should be reviewed first. A few young NC leaders have been demanding leadership change and reform of the party after the defeat. They have demanded a Mahasamiti meeting first followed by an early general convention for that. PM Deuba thanked and congratulated everybody on the end of political transition and implementation of constitution, according to NC Spokesperson Bisho Prakash Sharma. Deuba stated that the party's organization should be restructured in accordance to the federal structure of the country. Deuba also stressed on the need to contest the upcoming National Assembly election with unity, according to Sharma.
