Unified RPP (Nationalist) leader Thakur passes away

Central advisor of the Unified Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Nationalist), Udaya Kanta Thakur, passed away at his residence here Tuesday morning. He was 76. Thakur had been ailing since some months. He was also the deputy mayor of Janakpur municipality during the Panchayat period. Thakur was known in Janakpur for his oratorical skills. He leaves behind his wife, one son and two daughters. His last rites would be performed at Sworgadwar, Janakpur Tuesday, according to the Thakur family.
