Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Kamal Thapa has said that the country could be pushed toward instability again if the government is not formed as per the new popular mandate.
Speaking at an interaction in the capital Wednesday, he said the popular mandate was in favor of the left alliance and dividing it to form a different government would be a betrayal of the public aspiration.
Accepting that legal ambiguity had delayed the formation of a new government, he said, "The federal parliament will get full shape after the NA elections and the government formed after a week of it." He also said that the consensus of the left alliance was essential in designating the temporary provincial capitals and appointing the head of provinces, which is a sensitive matter.
Thapa said the government finally agreed to the party's demand of observing Poush 27 as the national unity day in memory of nation builder Prithivi Narayan Shah, based on a consensus among all the parties.
