The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has given authority to the Home Ministry to mobilize over Rs 1.04 billion as relief support to the flood survivors in Terai region.
NRA acting Secretary Yam Lal Bhusal said that the NRA has issued authority to Home Ministry to render relief to flood-affected 41,626 households. The authority was issued to provide Rs 15,000 each for house maintenance and Rs 10,000 each for the purchase of warm clothes.
Likewise, NRA's Flood Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Project Chief Dr Suman Karna shared that the process to distribute cash to the flood-affected tarai districts will begin from tomorrow through the District Disaster Management Committee.
The relief amount will be distributed to 18 tarai districts which were identified as flood-affected by the Post-Flood Rehabilitation Need Assessment Report.
