A central committee meeting of the Unified Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Nationalist) kicked off here Tuesday to decided whether to go for party unification with the RPP and RPP (Prajatantrik).
The meeting, chaired by party chair Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani, will discuss the issues on maintaining distinct existence and presence through unification provided that both parties become clear regarding their ideological perspectives.
Party’s ideological policy incorporated in Dr Lohani’s political report has mentioned the Hindu state and constitutional monarchy as minimum conditions.
According to party central member Sundar Pandey, the meeting will touch on the issues in regard with the party’s role in uniting the nationalist forces across the country by addressing people’s sentiments in the changing context and party’s organizational strengthening from the local level.
Besides, the meeting will decide to whether seek clarifications from those responsible for internal betrayal and disputes and performing against the party discipline during the recent House of Representatives and State Assemblies elections.
