Baburam, Gagan and Mishra take to the street demanding release of Dr KC

People from all walks of life have staged demonstrations at Maitighar Tuesday demanding the release of Dr Govinda KC who was arrested Monday for contempt of court. Dr KC started his 14th fast-unto-death on Monday afternoon against the Supreme Court’s order to reinstate Prof Dr Shashi Sharma as dean of Institute of Medicine under the Tribhuvan University (TU). Former prime minister and the coordinator of Naya Shakti Nepal Baburam Bhattarai, former Health Minister and Nepali Congress leader Gagan Thapa and Rabindra Mishra of Bibeksheel Sajha Party, among others, reached Maitighar to protest the arrest of staging Dr KC. Addressing a corner meet, Thapa and Mishra called for the immediate release of Dr KC. Supporters of Dr KC displayed various placards and chanted slogans including"Release Dr KC", "Truth will win."
