Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is meeting CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the former's residence in Baluwatar Tuesday afternoon to discuss date of National Assembly election and appointment of provincial chiefs.
Dahal had told fellow leaders at the end of headquarters meeting that he is going to meet PM Deuba to discuss date of National Assembly election and appointment of provincial chiefs, and left for Baluwatar. "PM Deuba will discuss the issue of appointment of provincial chiefs with chiefs of all the national parties. Dahal is the first party chief he has invited," senior media expert for PM Deuba Govinda Pariyar said.
The government is preparing to announce date of election for National Assembly and appointment of provincial chiefs simultaneously.
The government is preparing to set the election date after President Bidhya Devi Bhandari issued the ordinance on National Assembly election on Friday.
The EC told the government on Friday it will need 30 days to hold election for National Assembly after announcement of the date of election.
