CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to expedite the process of unification with CPN-UML.
The headquarters meeting of the party held at Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal's residence in Khumaltar, Lalitpur Tuesday afternoon has decided to expedite the unification 'endorsed by the people through election.'
"The discussion has been delayed a bit due to the problem in health of UML Chairman KP Oli. The unification process will move forward. There is no problem in party unification and government formation. You will get to see surprising result of unification," Maoist Center Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal told media persons after the meeting.
The meeting has formed a task force under leader Ram Bahadur Thapa for organizational management of leaders and cadres of different Maoist streams. Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Giriraj Mani Pokharel, Matrika Yadav, Shakti Basnet, Lekh Raj Bhatta, Sabitri Kumar Kafle, Devendra Paudel and Sunil Manandhar are also present in the task force.
The meeting has also formed a committee under Amik Sherchanto probe betrayal in the recent House of Representatives (HoR) and provincial assembly elections. Leela Mani Pokharel, Ganesh Shah, Hit Raj Pandey and Rekha Sharma are also in the committee.
The meeting also decided to take necessary initiative to end the current political impasse and form the government.
Chairman Dahal also briefed about the ongoing discussions and homework on party unification and government formation during the meeting.
