CPN-UML leader Subas Chandra Nembang has pointed out that the incumbent government should pave the way for formation of a new government on the basis of people's mandate as expressed through the elections to the House of Representatives and Provincial Assemblies.
Talking to media persons at Damak of Jhapa Monday morning, Nembang said the present caretaker government sticking to power in different pretexts was against democratic norms and values.
He said, "Doubts have been raised toward the activities of the Election Commission. The EC should be serious on it."
Nembang claimed that the view that the new government could be formed only after National Assembly election was against people's sentiment.
He expressed the view that no one can stop unification between the CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center).
Saying the manifesto of the alliance has already been approved from the election, Nembang said, "The alliance will get a full shape soon. No one should doubt it."
