The CPN-UML Secretary Pradip Gyawali Thursday said a new government under the leadership of the left alliance would be formed within mid-January. The government will be led by UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, and lasts full five years, he said speaking at a program organized by the Rafat Sanchar Club in the capital.
On unification of the UML and CPN (Maoist Center) representing the alliance, he said there is no doubt the unification would take place, as he said consultations were on in this regard.
Saying the decisions and appointments made by the caretaker government were against the laws, he said, “The new government will not uphold such decisions and appointments.”
Arguing that government formation and approval of the National Assembly election ordinance are two separate issues, he said President was not under pressure to endorse the ordinance.
He also stressed the need for the Election Commission (EC) to bring out election results under the Proportional Representation at the earliest.
