Party unification first, Pokharel says

CPN (Maoist Center) leader and Minister without Portfolio Giriraj Mani Pokharel has said unification of the Maoist Centre and CPN-UML should be held prior to the formation of the new government. Speaking at a meet the press program organized by Press Center Morang Chapter Tuesday morning in Biratnagar, he said the people have given the mandate for party unification for the left alliance. Stating that conspiracies are being hatched to split the left alliance, he added that formation of government beyond the left alliance would be against the people's mandate. Regarding the ordinance on formation of the National Assembly and appointments of State Chiefs, Pokharel said that political parties should forge consensus. The new government would work for the development of the country for social justice, equality, prosperity and socialism, he stated.
