CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has assured cadres that unification with CPN-UML will happen.
Speaking at a program organized by left intellectuals in Chitwan on Sunday to congratulate him on his victory from Chitwan-3, he said there is no alternative to party unification. "We have moved forward burning the bridges. We have not moved forward leaving a way for return. Both myself and UML Chairman KP Oli have plunged into it burning the bridges deeming that there may be a risk if we were to leave the bridges intact," he added.
He stated that the process of unification is moving forward in a serious manner. "There have been fictitious and misleading reports in the media raising doubts about party unification and future of the left alliance. I urge the media to not disseminate such reports without verifying authenticity," he said.
He claimed that he has been discussing party unification with UML Chairman Oli until Sunday morning. "We have been moving forward despite all the complexities and have also found alternatives to those issues," he assured. "We only have alternatives to move forward, not to weaken party unification and the left alliance."
