Construction of a well-equipped park has begun at Ramghat in Pokhara-Lekhnath Metropolitan City.
The project costs Rs 4 million and it will be built on seven ropanis of land provided by the Western Regional Hospital on the initiatives of Antar Samaj Federation Nepal.
The park will have a free Wi-Fi, water, and toilet facilities, while 45 benches for visitors will be constructed, said the Federation's Chairman Dipendra Rai.
Mayor of the metropolis Man Bahadur GC laid the foundation stone for the project amid a program on Saturday. He also said that the metropolis would also provide help for the construction.
