The results of the House of Representatives under first-past-the-post (FPTP) election have been announced.
With this, as many as 165 parliamentarians have been elected. Among them, two of them who took part in all elections held until now have emerged victorious consecutively for six times.
Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Gachchhadar have been elected as MPs for the sixth time after winning the recently held elections from Dadeldhura and Sunsari-3 respectively.
This is the record they made in the parliamentary elections. They have won in the elections held in 2048, 2056, 2064 and 2070.
However, NC leader Ram Chandra Poudel, who was successful to register his victory for the five times, was defeated this time.
