Over 27,000 invalid votes in Kapilvastu

Kapilvastu district has witnessed a total of 27,617 invalid votes cast in the recently held elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies. Of the total invalid votes, 13,814 votes belong to the House of Representatives, while the remaining to the State Assemblies. Failure to conduct voters' education smoothly is to blame in large, said the district election office, adding that the total 311,760 registered voters the district had, 73.79 percent voter turnout was recorded.
