The results of 157 of the total 165 House of Representatives seats under first-past-the-post (FPTP) election have been announced so far.
Accordingly, the CPN-UML leads with 77 followed by CPN (Maoist Center) with 34, Nepali Congress with 21, RJP Nepal with 12 and Federal Socialist Forum has 10 seats. The Naya Shakti Party, Rastriya Janamorcha and RPP have won one seat each.
Among the remaining eight seats, UML leads the count in four, Maoist in two and RJP in two.
Likewise, the results for 318 of the 330 FPTP State Assembly seats have been announced, according to Election Commission Spokesperson Nawaraj Dhakal.
Meanwhile, in the proportional representation (PR) category of the elections held on November 26 and December 7, UML leads with 936,442 votes. Nepali Congress is in the second position with 878,824 votes and CPN (Maoist Center) in the third with 385,434 votes. The Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal has received 64,096 votes so far, according to the EC Information Management Unit.
