Poudel demands re-voting

Candidate of Tanahun-2 (A) from the Nepali Congress, Pradeep Poudel, has demanded re-voting after 42 excess ballot papers were found while vote counting. Poudel said that he would not accept his defeat as he has lost the election with only five votes against Asha Koirala of the CPN (Maoist Center). "I will not accept the result as evidence of casting of the fake ballot was found', registering the application demanding re-voting. Koirala received 16,646 votes while Poudel got 16,641 votes. Poudel's supporters had chanted slogans at Damauli bazaar demanding re-voting.
