Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel has brought a budget of Rs 1.96 trillion for the fiscal year 2082/83 on Thursday.
It is 5.6 percent more than the budget for the last fiscal year which was Rs 1.86 trillion.
Minister Paudel has allocated Rs 1.18 trillion (60.1%) for recurrent expenditure, Rs 407.89 billion (20.8%) for capital expenditure, and Rs 375.24 billion (19.1%) for debt financing.
Similarly, Rs 417.83 billion has been allocated for transfer to the provinces and local bodies.
The budget plans to generate Rs 1.31 trillion through revenues, Rs 53.45 billion through foreign grant and generate the remaining amount of Rs 595.66 billion through foreign loans (Rs 233.66 billion) and domestic borrowing (Rs 362 billion).
