Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara has insisted on the need of promoting technical education to see progress and prosperity in the nation.
While inaugurating the Rolpa Polytechnic Institute established at Libang, Rolpa Monday, he highlighted the need for involvement of technical human resources in the nation-building campaign.
He was of the view of developing the Institute into a model technical education facility in the entire the country.
Mahara gave a lecture for 15 minutes focusing on Nepal's development draft and its international relations to the Institute students as a symbol of its inauguration.
The technical school in Rolpla was his vision, he said on the occasion, pledging his contribution to its further development.
Though he is competing in the House of Representatives from Dang, his priority for the development of Rolpa remains unchanged, according to him.
It may be noted that Mahara himself donated around 35 ropani of land to establish the Institute affiliated with the Council for Vocational Training and Technical Education (CTEVT). It has started diploma classes in veterinary science and plans to start classes on forestry, health, and agriculture in future, it is said.
