Reconstruction works delayed due to shops run on public lands

The reconstruction works were delayed due to shops run by encroaching upon the public lands in Patan Durbar Square. The public areas where heritages and monuments were constructed are waiting for reconstruction after the earthquake but private infrastructures constructed encroaching public lands were creating troubles, said Patan Durbar Square Management Office Chief Kajiman Pyakurel. He shared that Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust (KVPT) is forwarding reconstruction works in coordination with the office. Various monuments and temples in Patan Durbar square including Taleju, Yog Narendra Malla's bust, Singh Stambha, Mani Mandap, Krishna Temple, Hari Shankar Temple Char Narayan Temple, Bishwa Nath temple were under construction. However, some monuments there are still waiting for reconstruction lacking support from the concerned sides.
