Ambassador of Nepal to the Sultanate of Oman, Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal paid a courtesy call on Mohsin bin Mohammed Ali al Sheikh, the Chairman of the Muscat Municipality of the Sultanate of Oman at the latter's office on Tuesday.
On the occasion, Sheikh praised the excellent relations between Nepal and Oman. He also appreciated the natural beauty of Nepal and enquired about Nepal's current ongoing election, the Embassy of Nepal in Muscat stated in a press release.
Dhakal appreciated the continuous efforts of Muscat municipality to maintain sustainable development along with smart building, industrialization and other various development projects. She also informed about Kathmandu Metropolitan City's various activities regarding greening the city and preparation of the Embassy for participation in the upcoming Muscat Festival.
Both discussed the further means and ways to collaborate in new avenues such as potential tourism exchanges and twining agreement between the Kathmandu- Muscat municipalities in future. Dhakal also extended invitation to the Chairman of the Muscat Municipality to visit Nepal at his convenience. Sheikh thanked Ambassador for the invitation and expressed his willingness to visit Nepal as soon as possible, the Embassy of Nepal in Muscat stated.
