School children of mostly the Chepang community have been benefited after a classroom block was constructed at the Kaule Basic School at Thakre rural municipality – 8 in Dhading district.
The four-room block was commissioned by Swiss national, Marlis Chanton who is associated with an organization called Swiss Contact. The classroom block was constructed at a cost of seven million rupees. Local social worker Kumar Karki coordinated in the construction of the school block.
Not only this, Chanton has also provided the fund for managing the school lunch for the students.
Speaking at the program of handing over the classroom block to the school, Chanton said, "We have now handed over a new block to the school and also equipped it with the required furniture. We have also provided the afternoon lunch for the children and I hope now the children will be motivated to come to school."
There are 75 students studying at the school at present.
