Two killed in Jhapa road accident

Two people were killed in an accident that occurred on the Juke Culvert section of the East-West Highway at Kankai Municipality-1 Friday. The deceased are 53-year-old Rangalal Dhakal and his wife Manamaya Dhakal, 52, of Damak municipality-3, according to the District Traffic Police Office, Jhapa. The Dhakal couple was traveling by motorcycle when the microbus (Ba 3 Kha5887) heading west from the east hit their motorcycle. The motorcycle (Me 1 Pa 9899) was going east from west when the accident occurred. The Dhakal couple, who was critically injured in the accident, died while undergoing treatment at B&C Hospital, Birtamod, police said. The microbus driver and his vehicle have been impounded by Area Police Office, Surunga.
