An international conference on cancer has begun in Chitwan from Thursday.
The SAARC Federation of Oncologist Nepal has organized the conference where specialists from different countries of the world have been participating, said secretary of the Organising Committee Dr Umesh Nepal.
Dr Nepal said that a 'live operation' was now taking place in the conference started from 10:00 am.
Experts have been studying and watching the live operation at the conference hall of the Cancer Hospital, Chitwan.
The conference has begun at two halls where some experts are watching live operation in one hall while the discussion was underway regarding the working paper presented by expert of India, Prof Dr Rajesh Chandwani, in another hall, added Nepal.
Committee Coordinator Dr Bhola Prasad Rauniyar said that six working papers would be presented in second session today.
More than 20 experts from India, China, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Singapore, Canada, Turkey, the USA, including Nepal are participating in the three-day conference.
Experiences related to treatment process of cancer disease as well as new treatment technologies developed in the world shared in the conference.
Cancer survivor actress Manisha Koirala is scheduled to inaugurate the conference formally on Friday.
