Bharat Mani Dahal arrested on cybercrime charges

Bharat Mani Dahal has been arrested on charges of cybercrime.

Dahal, who describes himself as a political analyst, was arrested by Morang Police at 8 a.m. on Sunday from Salakpur in Sundar Haraicha Municipality-8.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Makendra Kumar Mishra of the District Police Office, Morang, said that he was arrested and sent to Kathmandu.

“He has been arrested under the Electronic Transactions Act and sent to Kathmandu. The Cyber Bureau obtained an arrest warrant against him from the Kathmandu District Court and sent it to us,” he said.
