Forty-one police personnel in three locations of Rasuwa have gone missing.
Deputy Inspector General Abi Narayan Kafle, spokesperson for Nepal Police, said that 41 police personnel stationed at three locations in Rasuwa could not be contacted.
According to him, police personnel in Syafrubesi, Rasuwagadhi, and Mailung are out of contact.
“The flood appears to be devastating. It has already crossed Galchhi. Timure has suffered extensive damage,” he said. “So far, we have received reports that 41 people are out of contact.”
Nine personnel from the Armed Police Force, including a police inspector, are also missing.
Vehicle movement has also been halted on the Prithvi Highway up to Narayanghat in Chitwan.
DIG Kafle said that police have been deployed to urge residents to vacate settlements around rivers.
He added that rescue operations are also underway.
