Four people, including a mother and her son, have died in landslides in Jajarkot.
Three injured people are receiving treatment in the district, while another three are being treated in Banke. Four others have returned home after treatment.
The deceased have been identified as 75-year-old Rati Khatri and her 54-year-old son Uma Singh of Risang Pharula in Bheri Municipality-2.
Seventy-year-old Bhim Bahadur Karki of Chisapani and 52-year-old Kedar Karki also died in a landslide, Inspector Sudhir Kumar Khadka of Jajarkot told Setopati.
Kedar died while undergoing treatment at Kohalpur Medical College in Banke.
According to Inspector Khadka, the bodies of three victims were recovered at the landslide sites.
The three injured people receiving treatment in Banke are in serious condition, Inspector Khadka said.
After houses were destroyed by the landslides, police sheltered around 200 local residents of high-risk areas at Tribhuvan Basic School on Saturday night.
Police said that the residents underwent health checkups on Sunday, and that arrangements were also made for their accommodation.
