Tension has erupted in Gol Bazar and Lahan of Siraha as well.
The District Administration Office, Siraha, has issued a curfew order after youths gathered and clashed on Thursday.
Chief District Officer Surendra Paudel said that tension is escalating in Gol Bazar Municipality and Lahan Municipality.
According to him, tear gas shells were fired in those areas, and warning shots into the air were also fired.
CDO Paudel issued the curfew order effective from 2 p.m. on Thursday until further notice.
The specified area for the curfew covers Kasaha Khola in Golbazar Municipality-3 in the east to Choharwa Chowk in the west along the East-West Highway, Sainik Chowk in the north, and the surrounding area of RP Multiple Campus in the south.
A warning has also been issued that legal action will be taken against any activities violating the curfew.
On Sunday evening, one person died from a gunshot wound during a clash between two groups in Kaptangunj, Dewangunj, Sunsari. One youth injured in the incident died during treatment on Thursday.
The investigation team formed by the Ministry of Home Affairs to probe the death has already arrived in Sunsari. However, the incident in Sunsari has sparked tension in other districts as well.
