The process for appointing the vice-chancellor of Kathmandu University has moved forward.
The applications of 35 candidates have been approved from among those submitted under the Kathmandu University Vice-chancellor Selection and Recommendation Procedure, 2006, for the recommendation of candidates for the post.
The applications were approved in accordance with the decision of the recommendation committee on July 20.
The committee will now shortlist and recommend three names through various stages of the selection process. Based on that recommendation, the prime minister, who also serves as the chancellor of Kathmandu University, will appoint the vice-chancellor.
