The curfew order in Birgunj, Parsa, has been lifted.
The District Administration Office (DAO), Parsa, withdrew the curfew order effective from 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The decision to lift the curfew order was made following an all-party meeting organized by the local administration.
"In light of the consensus reached during the all-party meeting and the improving security situation in the district, the curfew has been lifted effective from 3:30 p.m. on January 6 to facilitate the free movement of citizens and the resumption of activities including trade, business, and daily life," stated the order issued by Chief District Officer (CDO) Bhola Dahal.
During the meeting, representatives from various groups also committed to refraining from further demonstrations in Birgunj.
