The Central Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police has taken a statement from advocate Swagat Nepal.
The Bureau summoned Nepal to its office and recorded his statement for six hours on Sunday.
After a complaint was lodged against Nepal at the Cyber Bureau, he had been called for questioning before Tihar, on October 21.
Nepal had informed the police that he would appear after the festival. Accordingly, he visited the Bureau on Sunday, said Superintendent of Police Deepak Raj Awasthi of the Bureau.
“On Sunday, Nepal’s statement was recorded for about six hours,” SP Awasthi said. “Since Monday is a public holiday, he has been summoned again for Tuesday.”
Police have not disclosed the nature of the complaint filed against him.
However, Nepal himself had released a video message on October 20, stating that the complaint was filed because he had raised questions about the morality of former chief justice and Prime Minister Sushila Karki.
