Rajunath Pandey has moved the Patan High Court against his suspension from the position of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Police chief.
Pandey filed a writ petition at the high court on June 8, challenging his suspension.
The court has summoned both parties for a discussion on the petition on Wednesday.
During a preliminary hearing on June 10, the court called both parties to discuss whether to issue an interim order or not.
Pandey has named KMC’s Mayor Balen Shah, Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol, Chief Administrative Officer Saroj Guragain, acting chief of KMC Police Bishnu Joshi, and the Municipal Executive Office as respondents in his petition.
On June 3, KMC’s Chief Administrative Officer Guragain decided to suspend Pandey for a period of six months.
On May 20, Guragain had sought clarification from Pandey, alleging that he caused disturbance while Guragain was heading to the office on April 3.
